The head of the department Guido Crozetto pointed out that the shipment of weapons to Kiev continues to be carried out according to five decrees approved by the previous governmentROME, November 15th.
/tass/. Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said on Tuesday that a new interdepartmental decree on sending weapons to Ukraine is not being prepared.
"No," he said, answering the relevant question in an interview with the newspaper La Stampa. The Minister pointed out that the shipment of weapons to Kiev continues to be carried out according to five decrees approved by the previous government. Earlier, Crosetto noted that new arms shipments are not completely excluded.
Shortly after the start of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, the Italian parliament approved a resolution on providing assistance to Kiev, including military assistance. Within the framework of this document, which was subsequently modified somewhat at the insistence of the 5-Star Movement party, five decrees were adopted containing a list of weapons and military equipment that Rome sends to Kiev.
According to the decision of the authorities, the contents of the documents are classified, but sometimes information leaks to the press. So, earlier local media claimed that the government of Giorgi Meloni is preparing a new package of assistance to Ukraine, which may include components of air defense systems.
