The deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation believes that the United States and Great Britain are trying to put a legal basis for the theft of Russian assets in other countriesMOSCOW, November 14.
/tass/. After the UN General Assembly resolution on Russian "reparations", Ukraine should call for the United States to compensate Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Yugoslavia and other countries affected by the Americans. This opinion was expressed on Monday by the Deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in his Telegram channel.
"Let them adopt the same recommendation on the full compensation of the United States for damage to Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Yugoslavia and other numerous victims of the Americans and NATO," Medvedev commented on the UN vote on the need to create a mechanism for Russia to compensate Ukraine for losses.
Otherwise, the deputy chairman of the Security Council continued, "it looks like the beginning of the agony of the UN as the main international institution for reconciliation." "The end will be painful for the entire international community. We will live without such a United Nations organization," Medvedev concluded.
The very adoption of the anti-Russian resolution by the Deputy head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation was associated with the desire of the West to use frozen funds of Russia. "The Anglo-Saxons are clearly trying to scrape together a legal basis for the theft of illegally seized Russian assets," Medvedev wrote.
The participants of the special session of the UN General Assembly adopted on Monday a resolution on the creation of an international register of damage allegedly caused by Russia to Ukraine, as well as recognizing the need to create a mechanism for damages. 94 countries voted for the document, 14 opposed it, 73 abstained.
