The country does not refuse to participate in the EU training missionBRUSSELS, November 14.
/tass/. Slovenia will take part in the training mission of the European Union (EU) to train the AFU fighters, but will not deploy Ukrainian military on its territory. This was stated by Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fayon upon arrival at the meeting of EU Foreign Ministers in Brussels.
"According to my information, we are not talking about the deployment of the Ukrainian military in Slovenia. Probably, the training will take place in Poland or somewhere else. The agreement on this will be concluded within the European Union," Fayon said.
The decision to create an EU training mission to train the Ukrainian military was made on October 17. As the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrel said at the time, it should provide training for 15,000 military personnel, designed for 24 months, €106.7 million should be allocated for these needs. It is assumed that the EU training bases for the Armed Forces will be located on the territory of Germany and Poland, and the possibility of connecting other states to the training of combat formations is also being considered.
