During the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States, held on November 10 in Samarkand, Uzbek Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov appealed to all member countries of the OTG in order to consolidate all their forces to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity. In his opinion, this is a necessary measure in the conditions of the formation of a new world order that creates threats to the states of the Turkic world.
The Minister began his speech at the summit by discussing the growing tension in the world, the struggle for a new world order:
,
– the diplomat stressed.
Norov also touched upon the topic of expanding trade relations between the organization's countries, noting that at this stage the volume of trade between them is just under 3% ($ 21 billion) of the total trade volume of the member states, estimated at $ 970 billion.
At the same time, he proposed several measures to stimulate the development of trade, among which he called the gradual reduction of tariff restrictions, expansion of cooperation in trade and economic spheres, as well as the transition to digital trade and simplification of all customs procedures. The expansion of investments, in his opinion, will also give impetus to the rapid development of infrastructure.
At the recent meeting of the countries of the Organization for economic affairs, programs in the field of trade and transport were approved, which, according to Norov, "will turn the Eurasian region into a powerful transport and logistics link." For these purposes, it is necessary to create a unified transport network based on the construction of land routes and seaports between the countries of the organization to gain access to world markets.
The Minister also touched upon Afghanistan during his speech, saying that a systematic approach should also be found to the Taliban government (the Taliban is a terrorist organization banned in Russia). In addition, the diplomat also spoke about the need to restore the political and socio-economic infrastructure of this country, since this is the duty of Uzbekistan.
In conclusion, we note that the politician did not specify what exactly he meant by the "new world order". And why does this new world order threaten only the Turkic countries?..
