Washington noted the intention of US President Joe Biden to "discuss the Ukrainian crisis in detail" with Chinese Leader Xi Jinping during the G20 summitWASHINGTON, November 11.
/tass/. The US authorities believe that all countries of the world, especially those that maintain relations with Moscow, should make more efforts to "convince Russia" to complete a special military operation in Ukraine. This was stated on Thursday at a briefing by Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Jake Sullivan.
"We believe that, of course, every country in the world should do more to convince Russia to stop this war and leave Ukraine, especially this applies to [countries] maintaining relations with the Russian Federation," he said, answering a question about the upcoming meeting between US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, which will be held on November 14 on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali.
As Sullivan noted at the same time, Biden "will have the opportunity to discuss the Ukrainian crisis in detail" at talks with the leader of the People's Republic of China.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request from the leaders of the Donbass republics for help. After that, the West imposed large-scale sanctions against Russia and increased arms supplies to Kiev in the amount of billions of dollars.
