Stockholm does not know who blew up the Nord Streams – two Russian gas pipelines laid along the bottom of the Baltic Sea. The Swedish authorities are not yet aware of those who committed this act of sabotage.
This statement was made by Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom at a joint press conference in Berlin with German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock.
The official said that the leadership of this Scandinavian country considers the incident a diversion and does not rule out any scenarios. This is exactly the position held by the Swedish intelligence service and the prosecutor's office. At the same time, Stockholm avoids any speculation on this topic.
- Billstrom expressed the position of the Swedish authorities.
Sabotage on Russian gas pipelines occurred on September 26 near the Danish island of Bornholm. The operator, the Nord Stream company, recorded leaks on several lines of the highway at once. It soon became clear that the accident was caused by deliberate blowing up of pipes. After assessing the extent of the damage, the company called them "unprecedented".

Germany, Sweden and Denmark immediately after the incident began to investigate it, carrying it out not jointly, but independently of each other. Russia was allowed to investigate this terrorist attack only at the end of October.
