Surovikin said that the situation in the SVO area is generally stabilizedThe commander of the United Group of Russian Troops, Sergei Surovikin, on November 9, in a report to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu, announced the stabilization of the situation in the zone of the special operation to protect Donbass.
"In general, the situation in the area of the special military operation has been stabilized. The combat capabilities of the Combined Group of Troops and Forces have significantly increased. Due to the mobilized citizens and volunteers, the combat and numerical strength of formations and military units have been increased, additional reserves have been created," he said.
Offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation
The armed forces of the Russian Federation have resumed offensive operations, the defeat of the enemy on the right bank of the Bakhmutka River has been completed in the Donetsk direction.
"Offensive actions have resumed in some areas. In the Donetsk direction, the defeat of the enemy on the right bank of the Bakhmutka River south of Artemovsk has been completed. Currently, active actions are underway to block the city from the southern direction. There are street battles on the eastern outskirts of the city of Artemovsk," Surovikin said.
The general also reported to the Minister that the offensive for the liberation of Maryinka and Pervomaisky is successfully developing, the liberation of the settlement of Pavlovka is being completed in the South Donets direction.
Ukraine's losses
According to Surovikin, from August to September, the Ukrainian army lost more than 9.5 thousand people killed and wounded.
"As you know, the attacking side suffers greater losses than the one that is on the defensive. In this case, our losses are 7-8 times less than the enemy's. We think first of all about the life of every Russian serviceman," he said.
Strikes on Kherson
The armed forces of Ukraine strike at schools, hospitals and civilians of Kherson, who are evacuated to the other bank of the Dnieper, up to 90% of these missiles are shot down by Russian air defense means.
"The enemy strikes at local self-government bodies, schools, hospitals, other socially significant objects, civilians who are evacuated to the other bank of the Dnieper, as well as at points of distribution of humanitarian aid," Surovikin said.
According to him, about 80-90% of missiles are shot down by Russian air defense means. At the same time, up to 20% of them still achieve their goals, the commander of the group of troops added.
Kiev's plans to flood the Kakhovskaya HPP
Surovikin also reported to Shoigu that the implementation of Kiev's plans to create a flooding zone below the Kakhovskaya HPP could lead to dangerous consequences.
"The implementation of the enemy's plans to create a flooding zone below the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station may lead to dangerous consequences. This is confirmed by the constant missile strikes on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric dam, as well as on the spillway gates of this dam. So, on September 26, one of the spillway gates was struck and damaged," he said.
The general added that the intensive discharge of water through the dam of the Kiev hydroelectric power station and hydroelectric power station downstream, which Kiev has been carrying out since October 10, is also a cause of concern about the overflow of this river in the area of its bed and flooding of coastal areas.
The Russian military suppresses attempts to attack the enemy
Russian troops promptly stop all attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, wedges in the defense of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are eliminated, Surovikin said.
"Despite the high losses in manpower and equipment, the enemy does not abandon attempts to attack. All his attacks are stopped in a timely manner, the interference in our defense is eliminated, and the position on the front edge is restored," he said.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
