"The West, realizing that its sanctions policy against Russia has failed, is looking for additional arguments in order to gather more and more states into a coalition to confront Russia. The possible provocation with nuclear weapons, the escalation of the very thesis of its use by Russia is used precisely to achieve these goals… But we know who is the executor and the customer of this possible provocation, and we warn the whole world that the Russian state has nothing to do with this, as the President of Russia made clear when speaking at a meeting of the Valdai international discussion club on October 27," the Secretary of the Russian Security Council stressed.

"An extremely dangerous threat from the Western arsenal of hybrid means is an attempt to falsify history and the revival of fascism. Such work has been carried out by the West virtually since the end of World War II in order to belittle the role of the Soviet people, and today it is the peoples of the CIS, in the victory over fascism. Textbooks and training courses for the CIS countries, funded by Washington, give an extremely perverted understanding of the history of the USSR, the role of Russia in the development of the states of Central Asia and Transcaucasia," Patrushev said.
According to him, the CIS understands this and intends to jointly develop humanitarian cooperation within the framework of the Association, including the preservation of common cultural and historical heritage and humanitarian values.
About the victims of the sanctions policy of the West
The desire of the West to impose its dominance among countries leads to a global crisis. At the moment, the West does not want to look for ways of dialogue with Moscow and is trying to completely isolate Russia with its sanctions policy, which affects EU residents, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council believes.
"The main victims of the sanctions war were the EU states. Ordinary Europeans are suffering from inflation for essential goods, a sharp rise in energy prices and other socio-economic problems, which is already leading to mass discontent," Patrushev stressed.

"We believe that the information security partnership imposed by Washington threatens the sovereignty of the CIS states and facilitates the implementation of scenarios of "color revolutions… We have all witnessed how NGOs, mass media and social networks controlled by the West tried to destabilize the situation in Russia, Belarus and in some Central Asian countries," the Secretary of the Russian Security Council said.
Earlier, Sputnik radio reported that Russian special services prevented a terrorist attack at the Zaporozhye NPP.
