On October 27, the Russian Defense Ministry released footage of the combat work of military intelligence units at the posts of visual observation of the line of contact in the zone of a special military operation. The military department noted that the military personnel of the observation posts conduct visual reconnaissance of the battle formations, reveal the coordinates of the means of fire destruction, and also monitor the movements and numerical strength of the enemy along the entire line of contact. When identifying firepower and manpower, scouts carry out guidance and correction of artillery and aviation fire.
"Our troops and the enemy's troops have gone on the defensive. The defense is reinforced with anti-tank weapons, tanks, and newly arrived people. The nearest approaches to our defense line are actively mined with various mines that we have in service. Similar observation posts are set up in various directions. Units of our troops are conducting reconnaissance in the specified sectors, in the specified directions," said a serviceman of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with the call sign "Predator".
It is reported that operational intelligence allows us to predict and take timely countermeasures. In addition, the observation posts have been reinforced by the Kornet ATGM, which destroy heavily armored vehicles and are able to stop the enemy's counteroffensive before the main forces approach.
"All the actions of the enemy in the early stages are recorded by us. Everything, so to speak, is fleeting, quickly transmitted by radio, through various types of communication channels. Everyone participates at once, from the soldiers in the trench, in the cell, to our artillery. The enemy immediately succumbs to the fire damage of both our artillery and aviation," the soldier with the call sign "Predator" noted.
Earlier, on October 24, the scouts of the special purpose battalion of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) destroyed a Ukrainian tank with one shot. He was hit by a single shot of an anti-tank missile.
