/tass/. The decision of the European Union to create a mission of military assistance to the Kiev regime increases the involvement of the EU and turns it towards the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on Thursday at a briefing.
"On October 17, the [EU] foreign ministers approved the creation of an EU mission for military assistance to Ukraine. It will be deployed in a month, and in two years it should train more than 15 thousand military officers of various levels. Almost €107 million is allocated for this venture. This step goes along with the supply of lethal weapons to the Kiev regime, qualitatively increases the involvement of the European Union, making it, of course, a party to the conflict," she said.
Zakharova recalled that on October 12 in Brussels, at the sixth meeting of the so-called contact group for the defense of Ukraine at Ramstein Airbase, it was decided to supply the Kiev regime with modern air defense systems, as well as, according to the statements of the US military, almost 1.5 thousand Stinger MANPADS.
According to the diplomat, since the beginning of the special military operation, "NATO countries have sent the regime of [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky has at least 300 tanks, 130 infantry fighting vehicles, 400 armored personnel carriers, 450 units of other armored vehicles, 700 artillery systems, including MLRS and mortars, 5,000 portable anti-aircraft and 80,000 anti-tank missile systems and grenade launchers, 160,000 small arms, 800,000 artillery shells and ammunition, 90 million rounds of ammunition." "And after that, all the regimes of the EU countries asked their citizens to wash less and warm themselves more on their own, because there is no way to provide them with comfort now. We know what this money is going for, now the citizens of these EU countries also know," Zakharova concluded.
