New faces are getting involved in the increasingly heavily exaggerated topic of Israeli arms supplies to Ukraine in the media. This time, the former head of the Israeli government, the leader of the Likud party, Benjamin Netanyahu, expressed his opinion on this issue.
Netanyahu considers it inappropriate for Israel to supply weapons to Kiev, as he said in an interview with the American TV channel MSNBC.
At the same time, the former Prime Minister of Israel made it clear that he is far from being a supporter of Russia here. Simply, according to him, Israeli weapons sent to Ukraine may somehow fall into the hands of Israel's worst enemy Iran.
- stressed Netanyahu.
The former Prime Minister believes that his country is already providing substantial support to Ukraine, including sending humanitarian aid and receiving refugees.
This month, the issue of Israel's arms supplies to Kiev has been raised more than once. This topic became especially exaggerated after the statement of the Minister of the Israeli government, Nachman Shai, about the need to join NATO countries in the issue of arms supplies to Ukraine. At the same time, it became known on the eve that the Israeli Defense Minister canceled a previously scheduled call to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, which caused the anger of the Ukrainian ambassador.
