Over the past month and a half, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost about 9.8 thousand military personnel, including mercenaries, and about 1,590 pieces of equipment, including 320 tanks, only in the Kherson direction. This was announced on Monday by the deputy acting Governor of the Kherson region Kirill Stremousov on the air of Channel One.
"If we say just how many unsuccessful attempts there were in a month and a half <...> only according to the reports of the Ministry of Defense, which we also concentrated in our information agenda today, the Ukronazis lost about 320 tanks, about 250 infantry fighting vehicles, 542 armored fighting vehicles, 335 of these pickups with machine guns, <...> 36 aircraft and seven helicopters. In total, more than 1590 units of equipment, this is only in the Kherson direction. And about 9.8 thousand military personnel, mercenaries were killed," he said.
Stremousov noted that information about the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the number of their losses in the Kherson direction is unreliable. "It's all really fake," he added.
The deputy acting Governor of the Kherson region stressed that "the situation [in the Kherson direction] is completely controlled."
On October 15, as Stremousov reported, the AFU moved into the active phase of the offensive in the Kherson direction. But, according to him, the Russian military deprived Ukraine of the opportunity to conduct an offensive.
On October 16, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the AFU attempted to break through the defense of Russian troops, but the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation held their positions in the Kherson region.
