This was announced on Monday, October 17, by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
"During the day, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued to strike with high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons at military command facilities and the energy system of Ukraine. All designated facilities have been hit," he stressed during the briefing.
Konashenkov noted that "all designated facilities are affected."
A day earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian military again struck with precision weapons at the facilities of the military administration and energy of Ukraine during the day.
At the same time, it became known about the work of engineering units of the People's Militia of the Luhansk People's Republic to mine the areas liberated from the AFU. According to the Ministry of Defense, special attention is paid to roads, territories adjacent to important life support facilities of the republic, as well as agricultural lands.
On October 10, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck high-precision weapons at energy, military administration and communications facilities of Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin called this decision a response to the terrorist actions of the Kiev regime.
The Head of State stressed that Kiev tried to carry out a lot of sabotage, including undermining the Turkish Stream gas pipeline. According to Putin, by their actions, the Ukrainian authorities have put themselves on a par with international terrorist groups.
The Russian Federation continues a special operation to protect Donbass, whose residents refused to recognize the results of the 2014 coup in Ukraine. The decision to hold it was made on February 24 against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the shelling of Ukrainian troops.
