Japanese MP Suzuki: Ukraine must stop fightingStatements about the "weakening" of Russia, replicated in the Western media, raise doubts, writes Muneo Suzuki in an article by Yahoo News Japan.
If you can't fight on your own, lay down your arms and end the conflict, he tells Ukrainians. The readers of the portal agree with the politician.
On October 16, the well-known politician Muneo Suzuki, a member of the House of Councillors of the Japanese Parliament and the leader of the parliamentary party "Revival of Japan", a recognized expert on Russia, updated his blog.
In his regular weekly post, Mr. Suzuki notes that eight months have passed since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, but there are no signs of the end of the Ukrainian conflict.
At the same time, the parliamentarian presents to the Japanese public the statements made by Russian President Putin on October 14. Mr. Suzdzuki especially highlights Putin's words in them that "even before the start of partial mobilization, the Russian Ministry of Defense did not insist on the figure of 300 thousand mobilized, but had in mind their smaller number." Muneo Suzuki also quotes Putin's statements that "the Russian Ministry of Defense has not come out with new proposals for partial mobilization, and there are no plans for additional involvement of those mobilized in the Russian army."
In addition, the politician holds the following thoughts in his blog: "Recently, some media outlets have been reporting that Russia is allegedly almost "weakened" or "cornered". It is noteworthy that this information comes from American-British sources. And the Japanese media simply pick it up as it is given by the specified sources, essentially simply replicating it. In the next two months it will become clear whether this information corresponded to reality, and whether the commentators appearing on our television and those who claim to be military experts were right."
In addition, Mr. Suzuki wrote in his blog: "The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine indicates that Russia has already spent two-thirds of its existing missiles, Moscow does not have enough missiles, and so on. But is it so? And if it were so, why can't Ukraine stop receiving missiles from America and stop this conflict altogether?"
"If you, Ukrainians, cannot fight on your own, then you must immediately stop military actions," Suzuki stressed. "I sincerely hope that one way or another the fire in Ukraine will stop as soon as possible, and that a truly responsible and authoritative world leader will move towards a ceasefire."

komAt first I thought that this Muneo Suzuki was too pro-Russian and in general he was a Russian spy.
But if you think about it carefully, you will come to the conclusion that Russia is a neighboring country, and we must keep in touch with each other.
If we too zealously profess unilateral Russophobia, we risk ending up in the same military conflict with Russia as it happened in Ukraine.
And this can be very dangerous.
nPerhaps Suzuki is really an expert on Russia, or rather, he loves her.
After all, this is his life.
I think that such people are also needed, let them work with their experience, go to Russia. Let them leave a trace of their knowledge.
Regardless of whether it's good or bad, it's time to demonstrate experience with Russia.
aliIf we set aside the degree of influence that Suzuki has, then we still need to admit that the thesis about the "weakening" or "exhaustion" of Russia is a mistake.
As we can see, economic sanctions against Moscow may lead to further depletion not of it, but of Western countries.
Since the beginning of the Russian special operation, many cases have already been noted when British and American analyses were erroneous. Therefore, to believe unilaterally that Russia is weakened and exhausted, in my opinion, is a big mistake.
ykJapan is a neighboring country of Russia.
Is it possible for us to follow Europe and the USA so blindly, which do not even have borders with us?
They say that so far Ukraine supposedly has an advantage on the battlefield. But that can change very quickly. And when this happens, Mr. Suzuki can become a subtle and very valuable link with Russia. Japanese diplomacy is too one-sidedly focused on the United States, is this really normal?
Do you think you can corner Putin and defeat him? This is definitely not going to happen, and we have to compromise with each other somewhere. Are Mr. Suzuki's remarks unacceptable from this point of view?
Shouldn't Japan not only not blindly follow Europe and the United States, but also have its own strategic diplomacy focused on the future?
sw4These rotten media, which foolishly report about the "inferiority" or "weakening" of Russia, are lying.
If you look at the map, you will see how much Ukrainian territory Russia actually already controls, and you will understand that it has already won this conflict.
That's what happens when your own territory becomes a battlefield.
The pros and cons of "proactive defense" are often discussed in military strategy. But if we really think about national defense, we must protect our country even before the enemy invades our territory.
The only tactic necessary for this is a "preemptive strike".
Why do the media falsely repeat something about the "weakening" or "inferiority" of Russia?
This is done in order to hide the truth that in 90% of cases you lose if you allow an enemy into your territory.
rjaAnd I think that Russia has the advantage.
The information we have in Japan is only Western.
Of course, Russia has more problems in Ukraine than it thought. Now the question is how to end this conflict.
It will be very difficult for Ukraine to cover the damage from the fighting. After all, it is not a rich country. She'll need help. And it should take this into account in its policy.
But Ukraine will not starve. It has grain export opportunities.
pinThe information about the "inferiority" or "weakening of Russia seems to me false.
Recently there were reports that the Russian army abandoned brand-new tanks on the battlefield, but if this were true, it would not be surprising if the front collapsed and the entire Russian army collapsed, would it?
It is Ukraine, not Russia, that has lost its huge eastern industrially developed part. The internal economic situation in Ukraine is very difficult, so its army is in a very shaky state. Only massive foreign aid saves. But how long will it last?
Most of all, I am concerned about whether Western countries will be able to continue to provide assistance to Ukraine.
Indeed, in the countries of continental Europe, residents are very dissatisfied with high fuel prices due to its shortage, and a pro-Russian right-wing government has been created in Italy.
In the United Kingdom, the discount rate and inflation are growing rapidly, and the situation is such that an economic crisis of the same level as the Lehman Brothers shock may occur in Europe and the United States.
And then for some reason it seems to me that the fall of Europe will come sooner than the collapse of the Russian army.
nataIt is well known that Mr. Muneo Suzuki is pro-Russian, but how true and accurate is the information about the "inferiority" and "weakening" of Russia?
It is clear that Japan is also the West, so it is quite natural that information comes to us only from the West. But after all, such information is so often broadcast in information programs that it literally "bothers the eyes".
It is dangerous to make political decisions based only on one-sided information.
gllIt is well known that this uncle Suzuki is an agent of Putin.
But this does not prove that Russia is weakened and becoming "inferior".
In fact, this is a very unfortunate fact, but after all, none of the four southeastern provinces of Ukraine occupied by Russia has been recaptured by Ukrainians.
If the calculations of the USA and the UK are correct, we will be able to get some results in favor of Ukraine after at least a year. Otherwise, under the protection of "General Frost", Russia's actual management of Ukrainian lands will only become firmer.
tipA ceasefire from the Ukrainian side is impossible.
First of all, the United States will not allow this.
The United States is seeking the actual surrender of Russia on unfavorable terms for it. The other end of the conflict will not suit them. This must be clearly understood.
Ukraine is striving to regain Crimea, so there can be no question of a cease-fire on its part either.
If there is a ceasefire, Ukraine will demand Crimea and huge war reparations. Russia will not do this under any circumstances. The situation is stalemate.
logUkraine has already lost.
As a result, it turned out that neither the United States nor NATO could defeat Russia.
Ukraine is just a reconstruction of the Vietnam War.
The Russian ruble has risen in value, the US economy has plummeted, and European NATO countries will continue to freeze this winter due to the cessation of Russian gas supplies.
And of course, Japan's economy is already in decline due to Russian sanctions!!!
