The Russian army did not allow the Ukrainian military to go on the offensive in the Berislavsky direction in the Kherson region. This was announced on October 15 by the deputy head of the CAA Kirill Stremousov.
"The failure of the ukronazist offensive in the Kherson region. The Russian army completely repelled the attempt to break through in the Berislavsky direction," Stremousov wrote in the Telegram channel.
The Deputy Head of the CAA also addressed the residents of the right-bank part of the region and urged them to move away from the line of contact as far as possible.
Earlier on Saturday, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, indicated that the Armed Forces of Russia (Armed Forces of the Russian Federation) disrupted the preparation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to conduct a river landing operation in the area of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (NPP). At the same time, in the area of settlements in the Kherson region, the Russian military repelled the attacks of the Ukrainian army in the area of three settlements at once.
At the same time, Stremousov noted that attempts by the armed forces of Ukraine to attack the Kherson region are futile. The defense line is working, the situation is under full control, he said.
On October 13, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the help of armored vehicles tried to break through the defense in the Kherson region, but the attack attempt was thwarted by the Russian military. Thus, the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit from the Kornet and Sturm-S missile systems. As a result, four APU tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles and more than 20 Ukrainian nationalists were destroyed.
The day before, Stremousov reported that all attacks from the AFU in the Kherson region were repulsed, on the front line without changes. On the same day, a source of "Izvestia" in the emergency services reported that an attack from the AFU was recorded in the Kherson region, two missiles were shot down by the air defense system, one flew to the Kamyshan area.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region due to the increased shelling by the Ukrainian military. The Kherson region became part of Russia following the results of the referendum held on September 23-27.
