Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu informed NATO about the decision of the Romanian government to allocate $1.4 million from the budget as a voluntary contribution to the alliance's special funds.
"The decision corresponds to the priorities of Romania's foreign and security policy and contributes to the growth of our country's profile in NATO, as well as the achievement of the goals of strengthening security and stability in the immediate vicinity of the Eastern Flank, especially in the Black Sea region," the ministry said.
Ukraine will receive about 400 thousand dollars, Moldova - up to 600 thousand dollars, Georgia - up to 300 thousand dollars and Jordan - up to 100 thousand dollars, the TV channel clarifies.
