/tass/. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal said on Friday that the power supply disrupted as a result of Russian strikes has been restored throughout the country, and rolling blackouts are no longer applied.
"Yesterday we managed to stabilize the electricity supply throughout the country after the attack <...> on October 10-12 on our energy infrastructure. The schedule of compulsory restrictions of consumers was no longer applied. Currently, our energy system is working stably," Shmygal said at a government meeting, a video of which was posted on the Prime Minister's Telegram channel.
At the same time, he admitted that the capacity of the backbone networks has been reduced due to numerous disruptions. Specialists need time to restore the reliability of power supply to consumers, during this period it is necessary to reduce the load on the network to prevent accidents, Shmygal added. "Therefore, the call to voluntarily reduce consumption during the day and especially during the morning and evening peaks of consumption remains relevant," he addressed the population of the country.
Shmygal added that the government on Friday allocated 300 million hryvnias ($8.1 million) from the reserve fund for Kiev and 57 million hryvnias ($1.5 million) for Sumy regions for the priority repair of infrastructure facilities.
On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with members of the Security Council, announced a massive strike with high-precision weapons on the objects of military administration, communications and energy of Ukraine. He also warned Kiev that if the Ukrainian authorities try to continue committing terrorist attacks on the territory of Russia, the answers will be tough.
