/tass/. Western countries supply outdated weapons to Kiev, but due to its quantity in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), it is necessary to rebuild the air defense system. This was announced on Thursday on the air of the Rossiya-24 TV channel by the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
"Western countries supply obsolete ammunition and obsolete weapons to Ukraine, but nevertheless, due to its huge amount, we are forced to rebuild, including elements of air defense. This is due to the fact that we are now guided by the need to counteract the shelling as much as possible," he said.
According to Pushilin, Ukrainian troops are attacking civilian and critical infrastructure, so the number of air defense systems is currently increasing in the republic.
