/tass/. Plans to create an EU training mission for the Armed Forces of Ukraine imply the training of approximately 15 thousand people. This was reported on Sunday by the newspaper Welt am Sonntag, citing its own sources in the EU.
As the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrel informed on October 5, the EU intends to launch the mission on October 17.
According to Welt am Sonntag, the mission's mandate is for two years. Within its framework, two headquarters will be created - in Poland and in Germany. Ukraine requested the training of 50 thousand military personnel, the article says.
