CSTO command and staff exercises "Interaction-2022" have ended in KazakhstanMOSCOW, Oct 6 - RIA Novosti.
The command and staff exercises of the special forces formations of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) "Interaction-2022" ended on Thursday in Kazakhstan, the joint press center of the CSTO exercises told reporters.
During the maneuvers, various elements of the operation "Preparation and conduct of a joint operation to localize the armed conflict in the Central Asian region of collective Security" were worked out. "These exercises showed a well-coordinated mechanism of interdepartmental interaction of operational and special purpose units to work out tactics for combating elements of terrorism and extremism, illegal armed formations, eliminating the consequences of an emergency situation, organizing comprehensive support for combat missions," the report says.
During the closing ceremony of the exercises, the participants of the exercises from military contingents who demonstrated excellent training, interaction, and high military skills were awarded.
The head of the CSTO joint staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, noted that the skill shown at the exercises is the key to both internal and external security. "This is the key to the fulfillment of any task. In these conditions, the CSTO units should be in constant readiness for the tasks assigned to them. These joint exercises are the highest and most effective form of joint training of management bodies, formations of forces and means of the collective security system of the CSTO, one of the most important means of increasing combat readiness and field training," he said at the closing ceremony.
