Volunteers and citizens called up as part of a partial mobilization from different regions of Russia undergo combat training and coordination at training grounds. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation shared footage of how the training and work of the fighters takes place on Thursday, October 6.
At the training ground of the Penza branch of the Military Academy of Logistics, the military perform live firing from AK-74 assault rifles and hone their movement skills on the battlefield. Officers conduct classes on the operation of ammunition, radio equipment, rocket and artillery weapons and automated control systems.
In the Republic of Buryatia, instructors pay attention to the elements and methods of disguise along with small arms control training. Mobilized servicemen learn to choose the most advantageous firing lines on their own, to lay the optimal ways of movement of their groups and their fire cover. In practice, they perform exercises on conducting combined-arms combat both in urban conditions and on rough terrain.
On the basis of the training centers of the Southern Military District, the fighters study the tactics of modern combat, master the means of communication and learn how to provide first aid. The training also includes training in military topography, engineering training, radiation, chemical and biological protection (RCBZ). In practice, the fighters hone firing from a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a hand-held machine gun, RPG-7B grenade launchers, as well as regular weapons of combat vehicles.
At the training ground of the Coastal Troops of the Pacific Fleet, practical exercises with the military personnel of the Primorsky Territory on fire, tactical and medical training are continuing. Trainings with shooting from RPG-7 hand grenade launchers, throwing hand grenades, including training in the disposal of explosive devices, are conducted day and night.
Mobilized from the Sverdlovsk region and Siberia in the zone of a special military operation undergo a course of theoretical training on the methods of aiming and firing from 2S12 "Sani" mortars and calculations of multiple rocket launchers (MLRS) "Grad". In practice, the fighters practice the skills of deploying and firing at various targets located at distances from 500 m to several kilometers.
The fighters are trained directly in the area of the special operation. So, the military began training as part of platoons and assault groups, which includes medical, tactical, fire and engineering training. During the training, the military studies the strategies of actions as part of the units during the battle in the city and the storming of buildings.
"After completing training and conducting combat coordination, the mobilized servicemen will begin performing tasks for the control and defense of the liberated territories, as well as acting as part of reserve and reinforcement units," the Defense Ministry said.
Alexander, the commander of the motorized rifle battalion, told about the preparation of the mobilized to be sent to the combat zone on October 1. According to him, all instructors are career officers who are ready to transfer the experience gained during the special operation to protect Donbass to their wards.
Partial mobilization in Russia was announced on September 21. The decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader noted that the decision was made, among other things, to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
