Peskov: the US position on the use of HIMARS by Kiev proves their involvement in the conflict

The Pentagon's statement on the possibility of using HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems supplied to Ukraine for targets in Crimea once again confirms the direct involvement of the United States in the conflict. This was stated to journalists on Wednesday by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

"Such statements, both directly and indirectly, are new confirmations of the direct involvement of the United States in this conflict, which creates an extremely dangerous situation," the Kremlin spokesman said, answering the relevant question.

Earlier, Laura Cooper, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, said that the US authorities believe that the HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and ammunition provided by Washington to Kiev allow the Ukrainian military to hit targets, including in Crimea.
