They will go to the combat areas after training and combat coordination.
— I demand from the commanders of the military districts and the Northern Fleet — in order to adapt the recruits to the combat situation as soon as possible, to conduct additional classes with them under the guidance of officers with combat experience. The use of these units should be planned only together with those units that are already participating in a special military operation," Sergei Shoigu said at a conference call with the leadership of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

He also drew attention to the fact that many volunteers come to the military enlistment offices, and it is extremely important to approach each appeal carefully — not to refuse anyone without serious reasons.
Speaking about the autumn draft campaign, the head of the department said that the draft will begin in November, and layoffs in the reserve — from October to December. This fall, it is planned to call 120 thousand people, 7.5 thousand less than a year ago. According to the minister, the conscripts who have served will be sent home. And the young replenishment will be distributed to units not involved in a special military operation.
Following the meeting, Sergei Shoigu instructed the General Staff to bring exhaustive explanations on the procedure for granting deferrals to the chairmen of draft commissions and military commissars as soon as possible. First of all, this applies to schoolchildren and students of full-time and part-time forms of education. In addition, the deferrals concern employees of military-industrial complex enterprises, organizations related to information technology, communications, the financial system, people working in system-forming organizations in the field of information and communications, in the media, on broadcast channels and radio channels.
The head of the military department drew special attention to the fact that explanations on deferrals for citizens whose children suffer from severe incurable diseases and those who have three children, one of whom is disabled, should be brought to the military enlistment offices as soon as possible.
— The military commissars really ran too briskly to complete the task in the sense that they decided to quickly execute the plan and report back, — the associate professor of the Russian University of Economics told Izvestia. Plekhanova Colonel Alexander Perendzhiev. — In fact, partial mobilization requires, I would say, a human approach. One of the problems is that such an event is being held here for the first time, and no one has any experience at all, even the old military commissars. In Chechnya, we covered the needs with "second—year" soldiers of the second year of service, and then there was no need to carry out partial mobilization. And now reserve servicemen are being called up. Military enlistment offices have not carried out such mobilization in modern history.
The second factor, which, according to the expert, influenced the course of partial mobilization — at one time during the military reforms in the district military enlistment offices, positions held by military personnel were removed. — And then there was a kind of gap: people from the troops came to new positions, and, frankly, they went, as they say, to warm places — they believed that there was no need to strain themselves. And it turned out that it was necessary, — Alexander Perendzhiev noted. — So this generation gap of military commissars also affected the quality of work. When they were engaged in a planned appeal, everything was calm, if there were tensions, they were solved. And now all this has started to happen in the form of an emergency, so it turned out a little sideways, with violations. The minister had to intervene. Therefore, over time, it will be necessary to train military commissars, organize some advanced training courses for them, and not just instructors from the Minister of Defense. Then training and training should be carried out, as it is done in the troops. So that there are no kinks and mistakes.

On October 4, the Russian Aerospace Forces, rocket troops and artillery continued to restrain the onslaught of Ukrainian formations.
— Up to 100 servicemen, including foreign mercenaries, and 16 pieces of military equipment were destroyed by missile strikes on the areas of concentration of units of the 14th and 92nd mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kupyansk direction in the areas of the settlements of Dvurechnaya, Petropavlovsk and Kupyansk of the Kharkiv region, - said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
On the outskirts of Dnepropetrovsk, a high-precision strike by the Russian Aerospace Forces hit the headquarters of the Vostok air command.
In the Krasnolimansky direction, massive fire damage was inflicted on units of the 66th mechanized brigade of the VFU and two points of temporary deployment of national formations. More than 120 nationalists and 14 armored vehicles were destroyed.

Up to 90 servicemen, three tanks and six armored vehicles were destroyed in the Lisichansk direction as a result of a missile strike on manpower and equipment of the 54th mechanized brigade of the VFU.
Missile strikes hit the ammunition depot of the 65th mechanized brigade of the VFU and the aircraft repair workshops on the territory of the Motor Sich plant. More than 15 tons of ammunition were destroyed, including shells for the American HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, as well as two Ukrainian Mi-24 combat helicopters.
As a result of the strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the Krivoy Rog and Andreevsky directions on the units of the 24th mechanized, 17th tank and 128th mountain assault brigades of the VFU, nine tanks, 12 infantry fighting vehicles, 20 cars and up to 250 military personnel were destroyed.
Operational-tactical, army aviation, missile troops and artillery hit five control points, five ammunition depots and rocket and artillery weapons, 43 artillery units, the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system, the radar of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system and 157 troop concentration areas during the day.
In an air battle, fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 near the settlement of Toretsk in the DPR and a Su-24 near the settlement of Belaya Krynitsa in the Kherson region.

During the day, the air defense forces destroyed eight unmanned aerial vehicles, nine HIMARS and Alder multiple rocket launchers in the areas of the settlements of Novaya Kakhovka and Chernobayevka of the Kherson region, as well as two Tochka-U ballistic missiles in the area of the settlement of Rovenki in the LPR.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 312 aircraft, 157 helicopters, 2,145 unmanned aerial vehicles, 379 anti-aircraft missile systems, 5,336 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 860 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 3,445 field artillery and mortars, as well as 6,226 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed, Igor Konashenkov listed.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told about the servicemen who showed courage and dedication in the battles.
The platoon of Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Revenko was defending the area when Dmitry discovered a group of saboteurs in one of the directions. He decided to impose a fight. The Russian unit destroyed the commander of the group and up to 10 militants, the rest quickly retreated, leaving the wounded on the battlefield.
"The courageous and heroic actions of Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Revenko, combined with his high preparedness, made it possible to disrupt the enemy's plans to attack the positions of Russian troops, while preventing losses among personnel," the military department said.
Sergeant Vladimir Gunko, as part of the calculation of the combat vehicle, provided artillery support to motorized infantry. Having received information from the advance group about the coordinates of the Ukrainian formation, he promptly made calculations for firing and accurately launched missiles at his positions. The crew under the command of Sergeant Gunko destroyed a platoon stronghold, an infantry fighting vehicle and up to 15 militants.

This created a gap in the defensive redoubts, which led to the retreat of Ukrainian formations, the ministry said.
The column of Sergeant Konstantin Morozov, which was carrying ammunition to the positions of Russian troops, came under artillery fire. Konstantin, maneuvering, brought the car loaded with ammunition out from under the impact and delivered the cargo to the advancing units in a timely manner. Acting on the front line, Morozov destroyed five militants with fire from regular weapons and provided first aid to two wounded colleagues, after which he delivered them to a safe area, the department said.
