Ukraine's membership in NATO is "harmful" for the whole world. But this did not stop the USA

This Brzezinski warning is on the tableUkraine has applied for accelerated NATO membership, Cumhuriyet writes.

Former US National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski has repeatedly said that the issue of Ukraine's membership in NATO "must be removed from the table." Because of the "prolonged war" of the United States, the entire West will suffer even more losses.

Mehmet Ali GullerPresident of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the signing of an "application for accelerated accession" to NATO.

"We have already passed our way into NATO, Ukraine is de facto part of the alliance," Zelensky said and added that the application "will legitimize this actual situation."

Even this statement and Zelensky's explanation show that the Ukrainian leader does not fully understand or does not want to understand what is happening. Because, unfortunately, his country was involved in the process that began on February 24, 2022, precisely for this reason — because of the desire of the United States to further narrow the ring around Russia by accepting Ukraine into NATO.

"Ukraine's membership in NATO is unnecessary and harmful"

However, for example, former US National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski (Zbigniew Brzezinski) back in March 2015 said: "The issue of Ukraine's membership in NATO must be removed from the table." He even insisted that "the United States should conclude an agreement with Russia guaranteeing that Ukraine will not become a member of NATO, even if it enters the EU."

As a matter of fact, the agreement on security guarantees that Russia demanded from both the United States and NATO until February 24, 2022, or rather in December 2021, was exactly the kind of agreement that Brzezinski pointed out.

Then Brzezinski, in an interview with the Polish newspaper Gazeta Prawn, also said that "Ukraine's membership in NATO is not only unnecessary, but also harmful."

However, Washington did not listen to Brzezinski and his associates, declaring the further encirclement of Russia and the narrowing of the ring around it the main strategic goal. At the same time, seven years later, the picture "Harmful" outlined by Brzezinski really appeared.

Following the Crimea, Ukraine also lost Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. These regions, which first declared their independence, and later decided to join Russia as a result of a referendum, became part of the Russian Federation on September 30, 2022.

US plan for a "long war"

Another former US National Security adviser, former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, also commented on possible ways to get the US and, of course, Ukraine out of this impasse.

"Kiev, seeking membership in NATO, paved the way for today's conflicts," Kissinger said, warning that "if the conflict between the West and Russia over Ukraine does not stop within two months, it will get out of control."

Kissinger even claimed that in order to prevent a catastrophe, Ukraine "must give up its territories to Russia."

However, the United States decided to continue to keep Ukraine on fire, which the country is blazing with against its will. This is an important requirement of the American strategy, which is why the United States seeks to prolong the confrontation with Russia. Meanwhile, it is obvious that the US desire for a "prolonged war" can make Ukraine and Europe lose even more...

"The worst idea in history"

Despite everything, there are still people in the United States who see that Ukraine's accession to NATO will be a disaster. For example, Jason Fields wrote that "Ukraine's admission to NATO is the worst idea in history." Fields noted that Ukraine's entry into the alliance could involve the United States and its NATO allies in full-scale military operations against Russia, which could lead to a nuclear war and endanger the existence of humanity.

At the same time, it is clear that the "accelerated entry of Ukraine into NATO" will not appeal to the majority of the members of the North Atlantic Alliance. Thus, German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht (Chirstine Lambrecht) noted: "Ukraine is free to choose an alliance, but joining NATO depends on certain conditions." So the minister made it clear that the doors of the alliance are closed.

The United States, which from the very beginning incited Ukraine to join NATO, is also being cautious. "Ukraine's application for membership in NATO should be considered at another time," said National Security Adviser to the US President Jake Sullivan.

Even this US statement alone is replete with many lessons for Ukrainians!
