MOSCOW, Oct 3 — RIA Novosti, Andrei Kotz. The United States intends to significantly increase military assistance to Kiev and increase its effectiveness. The New York Times newspaper, citing sources in the White House, reports: The Pentagon plans to create a new command in Western Europe under the leadership of an American general to coordinate the efforts of dozens of countries to further prolong the armed conflict in Ukraine. About this structure and how it will affect the course of hostilities, — in the material of RIA Novosti.
Organize help
The commander of American forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, has sent US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin a list of proposals to improve the effectiveness of Western assistance to Kiev. In particular, we are talking about the formation of a headquarters center in Wiesbaden, Germany, with a permanent staff of 300 people, which will organize and systematize military supplies from more than 40 countries, coordinate the training of Ukrainian servicemen and repair of military equipment of the Armed Forces in NATO countries.
According to the Americans, this center will act similarly to the structures that helped strengthen the Iraqi and Afghan armies. They will allocate funding, specialists and the material part necessary to turn the AFU into a military force capable of defeating Russia on the battlefield. The countries included in the so-called "Ramstein format" will be able to consolidate their efforts.
The New York Times emphasizes that the West is already training Ukrainian soldiers according to NATO standards. The UK, for example, launched a training program for ten thousand Ukrainian recruits in weapons handling, patrol tactics, first aid and other skills in the summer. In September, Denmark announced a similar project. In addition, Ukrainian servicemen train in Poland, Spain, France and a number of other countries. Now all this will lead to a common denominator.
A springboard for the offensive
"Undoubtedly, the tasks of the new command will not be limited to the above," Konstantin Sivkov, Doctor of Military Sciences, is sure. — The headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany, will build supply logistics, help the Ukrainian generals plan combat operations, coordinate intelligence gathering and their transfer to the Armed Forces. If earlier NATO countries did this separately, then the structure being created will streamline assistance to Kiev and increase its effectiveness."

According to the expert, all this is the next stage in the strategy of Brussels and Washington to systematically prolong the armed conflict, another proof that the collective West wants to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian. The main goal is to exhaust Moscow as much as possible and ultimately force it to make peace on terms favorable to Kiev and NATO.
"This decision of the Pentagon will seriously complicate our lives and strengthen the APU,— Sivkov continues. — Ukraine will actually turn into a springboard for a strike against Russia, and in the very near future. I do not rule out that sooner or later NATO will decide on a direct armed conflict. First they can send their military to Ukraine. And then invade our territory. You can expect anything from them — the fear of us in the West has noticeably decreased. It remains to hope for the remnants of the prudence of Western politicians. Openly fighting with a nuclear power is the way to nowhere."
Militarization of Europe
Alexander Perendzhiev, an expert of the Association of Military Political Scientists, agrees that the United States is raising the stakes. However, according to him, the goal of the new command is not only confrontation with Russia.
"There is a certain connection with the undermining of the Nord Stream gas pipelines," he says. — The United States began openly enslaving Europe and taking measures to eliminate an economic competitor in the face of the EU. To do this, we need to weaken Germany, the locomotive of the continental economy. They were deprived of Russian gas, after which a number of German production facilities announced their decision to move to the United States. Then the Europeans were forced to purchase liquefied natural gas from overseas, tightly tying them to the Western Hemisphere. Now Washington will not only consolidate its economic influence on Europe, but also strengthen its military influence."
Perendzhiev agrees with Sivkov that Germany, in fact, is forming a headquarters for aggression against Russia. Poland, for example, has already pulled impressive forces to the Kaliningrad region. The recently signed declaration on EU-NATO cooperation also suggests further militarization of the region.
The arsenals are emptying
A few days ago, on September 28, the US Department of Defense announced another $1.1 billion package of military assistance to Ukraine. Thus, the total amount officially allocated to Kiev by Washington since the beginning of the Russian special military operation has exceeded 16.2 billion. Unlike early deliveries, military equipment for the APU will be ordered from manufacturers, and not withdrawn from American arsenals. That is, the transfer of weapons will last for months and years.

The new package is expected to include 18 HIMARS ground-based missile systems and ammunition for them, 150 HMMWV armored vehicles, 150 trucks for towing artillery pieces, about 100 tank trailers, two airborne radars for unmanned aerial vehicles, 20 AN/MPQ-64 multi-purpose radars designed for both air defense and for counter-battery fighting. In addition, the AFU will provide electronic warfare systems, tactical radio communications, reconnaissance and surveillance devices, optics, explosive charges, bulletproof vests and other infantry "trifles".
Germany is preparing to supply the AFU with several IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile systems in the near future, which, according to Brussels, will allow the Ukrainian military to negate Russia's advantage in the air. However, it is unlikely that Washington's Western European allies will decide to entrust Kiev with the most modern weapons. What they could share without compromising their own defense capability is already in Ukraine. On the other hand, their problems are not too worried about the United States, which seriously intends to subjugate Europe.
