Rostec and the Bauman Moscow State Technical University will train professional personnel and implement joint educational and research projects in the interests of the radioelectronic, aviation, biotech and IT industries. The agreement on strategic cooperation and partnership was signed by the Director General of the State Corporation Sergey Chemezov and the Acting Rector of the higher educational institution Mikhail Gordin. The parties will work together to increase the prestige of scientific and scientific-pedagogical activities, create conditions for talented young people who want to study and engage in science.
In particular, we intend to cultivate children's technical creativity and develop a system of professional orientation in the environment of preschool, school and additional education.
One of the key areas of the partnership will be the improvement of targeted training mechanisms and the training of engineering personnel in the most popular specialties in the radio-electronic, aviation, biotech and IT industries. At the same time, due to the expertise and established methodology at the university, training programs will be adapted to the needs of specific enterprises so that graduates of the university meet the needs of industry as much as possible.
"The domestic industry has an acute demand, first of all, for non-standard-thinking designers, microelectronics, IT specialists, roboticists who are able to create atypical, I would say, amazing solutions. To grow such a specialist, you need to give a person an ideological charge, a good outlook and relevant knowledge that meets the requirements of not even today, but tomorrow. That is why we rely on cooperation with Baumanka – the university has a modern and flexible approach to the formation of curricula, conducts training in IT specialties, without exaggeration, at the world level. Both the university and the Corporation understand well: in order to raise those who can develop new technologies, including in related fields, it is necessary to engage them from kindergarten, school, help them determine their professional trajectory, learn and self-actualize professionally. The effect of this work will not be immediate, but it will be huge for many industries and the country as a whole," said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation.
As part of the agreement, the university is also planned to involve Rostec Wings in the training program for aviation industry engineers. Professional training programs for employees of the Corporation's enterprises specializing in the creation of new products and technologies will be updated.
In addition, the partnership provides for joint fundamental, exploratory and applied scientific research, the development of technological packages and product solutions, as well as the implementation of works aimed at import substitution of engineering software.
"Thousands of Rostec target students are already studying under the bachelor's, specialist's and master's degree programs. Undergraduates undergo internships at the Corporation's enterprises and, in parallel with their studies, get acquainted with their future place of work. Specialized master's programs have also been launched and continue to be created, the programs of which take into account the requirements of a specific enterprise, not general ones. One of our main tasks is to fill educational programs with practical project activities. These projects should be carried out by our teachers and students in the interests of specific enterprises and, if possible, jointly with employees of these enterprises, as well as be concretized, not theoretical, but bringing practical benefits," said Mikhail Gordin, Acting Rector of Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
