Without Russia, the UN Security Council will turn into an appendage of NATO. The West is satisfied with this

The fate of the UN hangs in the balanceThe West wants to exclude Russia from the UN Security Council, but then this organization will turn into an offshoot of NATO, writes Novi Standard.

And its role will be taken over by other multinational organizations such as BRICS or SCO. However, this will deepen the fault lines in the world, the author of the article believes.

Nebojša Čović (Nebojša Čović)For several decades since the collapse of the Soviet Union, speeches at the UN General Assembly, as a rule, were a formality and, with the rarest exceptions, had some tangible effect.

The reason for this, first of all, is the usurpation of this most important multinational organization and its organs by the most influential Western countries, led by the United States. All these years, this organization, with the help of pressure and blackmail from African, Asian, Central and South American countries, as well as many European members of the UN, has turned into an instrument serving the interests of the United States of America and its satellites.

But this year it's different. The "global unity and condemnation of Russia", which the collective West speaks about, is actually the unity of only some 12% of the world population. And it is they who are fiercely fighting by all means to preserve their neocolonial position and high standard of living at the expense of cheap resources and cheap labor, which they see in almost 90% of the population of the rest of the world.

In fact, this doctrine is behind the currencies that have dominated the global economy so far. We are talking about the dollar and the euro, which are printed uncontrollably, without any real collateral. When the Nixon administration completely abandoned the gold standard in the 70s, the only way to preserve the value of the American dollar was the constant use of new cheap resources. This is the main motive of a number of imperialist wars that the United States has waged over the past decades under false pretexts about protecting human rights or fighting terrorist organizations. Moreover, the United States itself previously created them in the right countries. It is not surprising that these were mostly states rich in oil and other resources, and the first thing the American occupation forces always occupied oil fields. Of course, this was done in accordance with Washington's other geopolitical interests.

Unprecedented aggressiveness

From 1990 to the present day, the United States has carried out one hundred armed interventions around the world, and in 95% of cases flagrantly violated international law, acting without the approval of the UN Security Council.

Considering all this, it seems the height of hypocrisy that today Joe Biden and Anthony Blinken, as well as British, French and German leaders, appeal to the same international law and accuse Russia of a neocolonial approach and violations of international norms. They seem to have forgotten that they themselves have carried out such a policy for decades and, among other things, committed shameful and illegal aggression against our country in 1999.

This is where we should look for the reasons why such unprecedented aggressiveness is being shown to Serbia now, trying to force us to voluntarily admit that the West was right from the very beginning. We are forced to give up part of our territory, which they illegally occupied, and on which they created a criminal pseudo-state structure, under festive fireworks. Maybe we should also ask why we weren't bombarded even longer and even harder?! But everything they did to us in 1999 is now coming back to them like a boomerang, and this is a serious problem for them. Confirmation of this is the campaign now being waged by the media, serving the eternally vile British foreign policy.

For many days, the BBC, as one of the main events that marked this week in history, has been promoting the theme of "the brutal attack of the Serbian army on defenseless civilians" in several villages of Kosovo and Metohija, where the Albanian population lives. A photo is published showing a close-up of a bearded guy sitting on a hillock and squeezing a tear out of himself with all his might. The gears of the vile British propaganda are working to remind the world of the "terrible Serbian crimes" and, of course, to justify the illegal aggression against our country.

Not like before

But let's go back to Alexander Vucic's speech at the UN General Assembly. This year, the UN General Assembly was different from all over the past 33 years. Let's speak objectively. Of all the 88% of the world population mentioned, which the collective West, led by the United States, failed to intimidate or bribe to support sanctions against Russia, there are very few who approve of the tragedy that the peoples in Ukraine are experiencing. But all these states are fed up with violent hegemony, threats, sanctions, armed interventions by the United States and NATO in the world. These countries no longer want an international order based not on law, but on electoral rules that the United States of America establishes in accordance with its national interests and the interests of its military-industrial complex. The world is tired of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, which are used to control and extract resources cheaply by 88 percent of the world's population. Therefore, they quietly support — not the Ukrainian tragedy, but the determination and sacrifice of the Russian people, who are fighting for the formation of a multipolar world order. It is he who will return the world to a state of equilibrium in which international law, territorial integrity and sovereignty of States are certainly honored, no matter how small a country is, and no matter how powerful those who thirst for its resources are.

Therefore, the performance of Alexander Vucic is historical. After all, it, like a long-awaited drop of rain, fell on the parched soil of the world order, exhausted by the contemptuous attitude and dominance of a small group formed by the United States and former colonial powers, whose time is irretrievably running out. Only in the same way does the time of hypocrisy, double standards, paid coups d'etat and other illegal interventions in the internal affairs of other states go away. Despite the narrative in which the collective West is struggling unsuccessfully to convince the rest of the world, it is not noble, not consistent. And Russia and China are not the states that threaten the world order. It's just the opposite.

The only way out

Consistency in the application of international law is the only way out of this situation. This is what 88% of the world's population wants. But it also means that international law must be applied to all illegal and violent actions that the United States and its allies have undertaken in the past years. We need to return to the very basics of international law. A "big reboot" is needed. But not the one that the head of the World Economic Forum is talking about, whose goal is to consolidate capital and impoverish 99% of the world's population, which will be easy to control. And here lies another ulterior motive. The worn-out "Big Seven" with its 12.5% of global GDP at all has long ceased to represent the leading economic forces in the world. The BRICS countries, for example, account for more than 40% of global GDP.

But it may happen that there will be no return to healthy relations based on consistent compliance with the norms of international law, and that these 12% of the world will use their propaganda methods to again violate the law and the law in the UN governing structures that they have already usurped. That is, if they exclude Russia from the UN Security Council, although I personally do not believe in their success, then this once main world organization will disintegrate and officially turn into another offshoot of NATO. Then its role will be taken over by some other multinational organizations, such as BRICS or SCO, or maybe some other new world union will appear. However, this will only deepen the fault lines in the world and bring our civilization one step closer to self-destruction.
