As Oksana Markarova stated, the obligation not to use Western weapons against Russian territory concerns only the HIMARS MLRSKYIV, September 30.
/tass/. The agreement between Ukraine and the United States on the prohibition of shelling of the territory of Russia does not apply to regions that have come under the control of the Russian Federation. This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova on Thursday in an interview with the Ukrainian edition of "European Truth".
"We have an agreement with the United States that we will not use weapons provided to us by the United States and partners on the territory of the Russian Federation. But if today we are talking about the de-occupation of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, where the enemy is located, then, accordingly, we have no such restrictions," the minister said.
She also clarified that the obligation not to use Western weapons against Russian territory concerns only the American multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) HIMARS. The diplomat also noted that the United States did not set any restrictions for Ukraine's strikes on Crimea.
Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said that Kiev had pledged not to use Western weapons on the territory of Russia.
