"Negotiations were held at the Kyzyl-Bel checkpoint in Batken region with the head of the State Security Committee of Tajikistan, Saimumin Yatimov, to resolve the situation on the border," Tashiev said.
He noted that a protocol was signed with the Tajik side on ending the conflict and its consequences.
"I hope that all the points of the protocol will be fulfilled, and peace and harmony will come to the Kyrgyz and Tajik lands," Tashiyev said.
The conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border with the use of weapons began on September 14. It has led to casualties and casualties on both sides. The sides accused each other of armed aggression.
According to the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, 62 people were killed and 198 people were injured as a result of armed clashes. According to the country's authorities, more than 142 thousand citizens have been evacuated from the conflict zone.
