The head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims noted that it is necessary to realize that "our cause is right and fair"MOSCOW, September 23.
/tass/. The head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, called on the Islamic clergy to support the decision of the President of the Russian Federation on partial mobilization, noting that believers must fulfill their civic duty to the country. He said this on Friday during the annual plenum of the Duma of the Russian Federation.
"Today, when the President of the country announced partial mobilization, I call on our Muslim clergy to support this call and convey to ordinary believers the words about the need to fulfill their civic duty to the state, to society, to their family, to their children, to their native land. And of course, Russian Muslims should not stand aside in this difficult situation - they should come to the aid of our Fatherland," Gainutdin said.
He noted that it is necessary to realize that "our cause is right and fair." "Truth and justice will certainly prevail, by the grace of Allah," the mufti added.
The Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation drew attention to the fact that in all difficult times, during periods of disasters and dangers, Muslim believers firmly stood up for the protection of the country and acted for the good of the fatherland. The names of defenders of the motherland of Muslim origin, according to the mufti, can be found in the Books of Glory and in Victory Museums throughout the country.
"In the first months of the Great Patriotic War, muftis made a call on behalf of Muslims to defend their homeland and declared a "holy jihad" against the Nazis and fascism," Gainutdin recalled.
At the present time, he added, it was indicative of how harmoniously and selflessly the muftis and imams in the regions of Russia responded to the suffering of refugees and evacuees from Donbass. "The clergy of Donbass have expressed a desire to work with us in a single spiritual and moral space, and we have done everything in our power to spiritually support people who are homeless today, have lost loved ones, are suffering hardships," the head of the Duma of the Russian Federation noted.
On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on partial mobilization in the country. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, 300 thousand people are subject to conscription from the reserve, primarily those with combat experience and the military accounting specialty necessary in the troops.
The mobilization will not affect full-time students and conscripts, as well as a number of other categories of citizens, including employees of the military-industrial complex, full-time employees of IT companies, telecom operators and the media can also receive a postponement. In addition, as explained in the General Staff, enlisted men and reserve sergeants under the age of 35, junior officers under 50, senior officers under 55 are subject to mobilization.
