TSAMTO, September 23. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation together with the Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics opened the Department of Digital Analytics. The solemn event was held at the university in Novosibirsk.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District and executive authorities of the Novosibirsk region.
The Department of Digital Analytics, which is part of the SibGUTI Security Institute, will specialize in training personnel in the field of logistics, business analysis and system analysis in IT projects in various areas of promising digital technologies, as well as on the formation of the necessary skills to optimize information logistics chains, evaluating the effectiveness of digital transportation options.
So far, this is the only state educational unit in Russia that will train unique specialists in the field of digital space analysis. The initiator of the creation of this training center was the Department of Information Systems of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. According to the plan of the Ministry of Defense, specialists who combine knowledge of the humanities and exact sciences will be trained in the area of responsibility of the Digital Analytics Department.
Currently, mostly educational programs of universities initially divide students into "humanities" and "techies", which narrows further opportunities for graduates in the modern world, in which information technology is both a way of interaction of society, and therefore contains the entire spectrum of applied humanities and a high-tech environment determined by complex mathematical algorithms. Thus, in order to work and manage this space, a completely new type of thinking is needed, not separating, but combining the humanitarian and technical fields. Such specialists are in great demand in the field of digital technology development and information environment analysis. Now they will be trained in SibGUTI, primarily in the interests of the Ministry of Defense.
The main subjects of the program will be artificial intelligence technologies, software for the organization and management of complex structures, digital environment research, and others.
Graduates of this program will be able to solve a wide range of tasks based on modern approaches and technologies for collecting and analyzing data about the external environment of the organization and business processes. The best students who have shown a high level of training and achieved some success will have the opportunity to serve in the Military Innovative Technopolis "ERA" after graduation.
The main purpose of the Technopolis "ERA" is the formation of an effective model for organizing research in the interests of strengthening the country's defense capability. Modern research and production complexes created in technopolis are designed to contribute to the effective introduction of advanced technologies in the field of defense and security, as well as to strengthen science and innovation in Russia. These are the latest scientific developments in the field of robotics, information security, nanotechnology and nanomaterials, telecommunications, digital technologies. Operators of scientific companies participate in the creation of modern software systems, the development of small spacecraft, life support machines, biomedical research and much more.
In order to establish and develop cooperation in the field of education and scientific and technical development, a cooperation agreement was signed in August 2022 between the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and SibGUTI.
Within the framework of the Agreement, work is being carried out to create an appropriate organizational and legal framework for mutually beneficial cooperation in the exchange of scientific and technical information, the implementation of joint educational programs, programs and projects in the field of research, scientific and technical, innovative activities and experimental developments.
It was agreed that students of the Department of Digital Analytics of SibGUTI will closely interact with VIT "ERA" in the field of IT technologies during their studies. In the future, this will make it possible to train practitioners in early courses to solve complex government tasks in the digital industry, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
