TSAMTO, September 22. US defense companies can use the conflict in Ukraine to test their pilot projects, and a number of firms are already doing this.
This, as RIA Novosti reports, was reported by the Military Times with reference to the statement of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Vladimir Gavrilov.
As the agency reminds, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov in July said that his country had turned into a "testing ground", and invited manufacturers of Western weapons to test their new products on the battlefield against Russia. NATO Assistant Secretary General David van Wyl said earlier that the alliance is using the conflict in Ukraine to determine the possibilities of introducing high technologies in the field of defense.
"If you have any ideas or some pilot projects that need to be tested before mass production, you can send them to us and we will explain what needs to be done," V. Gavrilov said at a conference of the American National Defense Industrial Association in Texas.
According to the deputy minister, weapons tested by the conflict in Ukraine will be easy to sell.
He said that a number of companies have already handed over to Kiev "not yet released" equipment, in particular technologies against drones and for protection against interference.
"And they come back with a product that is competitive in the market because it has been tested in a war zone," he added.
