Western experts have started to provide their thoughts about what the West can result in success for the Ukrainian armed forces East of Kharkov. Recall that within a few days of Ukrainian troops and the foreign mercenaries were able to take control of a number of settlements, including Balakliya and Raisins. Now, according to American journalists, it may play a kind of cruel joke with the European Union and the West.

Relevant material is published by the NYT browsers. In a major American newspaper reported that Zelensky is now have an additional reason to appeal to the political leaders of European countries with requests for additional supplies of heavy weapons. The authors note that obviously will increase the pressure on Germany, which will increasingly require to authorize the supply of tanks.

It is noted that while in Ukraine after the success at Kharkov only and conversations that about the imminent victory in the countries of the European Union and the ocean "is far from clear answer to the question of what is considered a victory." So, in the example given Russia the opportunity to apply for the EU energy kick, if he continues to step up efforts in terms of supply Kiev with heavy weapons. Accordingly, it will affect the economies of the EU.

Attention is drawn to what is now gas prices fell slightly (to about 2100 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters), but it happened in the first place due to introduced in Europe saving mode energy. A "oeconomicis" to have that up to 12% energy-intensive industries have either stopped or are going to do it soon.

Material:

While still under discussion, should look like "Pobeda" (Ukraine). And countries such as Germany, France and the United States is concerned about the risks inherent in the different scenarios of this "victory". About where to stop the war that will decide not only (probably "not much" - approx. "IN") in Kyiv and in Washington, where, as in Germany and France, not to expand the war.

The author further writes that there is a paradoxical situation, not only for Europe but for the United States:

The EU and the United States is concerned about the extreme scenarios of the conflict – and the defeat of Ukraine, and its victory.

The emphasis on the fact that the defeat of Ukraine will be a blow for the West politically, and its "victory on the battlefield" will lead to the defeat of the West in terms of energy.
