No violations of the ceasefire regime in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh were recorded during the day, the bulletin of the Russian Defense Ministry says about the activities of Russian peacekeepers.
"Over the past day, no violations of the ceasefire regime have been recorded in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent," the report said.
It is clarified that at 30 observation posts, Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and monitoring compliance with the ceasefire regime.
"Two routes were patrolled in Mardakert and Shusha districts. Four automobile convoys of the Republic of Azerbaijan were escorted in the Shusha district," the message adds.
At the end of September 2020, hostilities resumed in Nagorno-Karabakh, which became a continuation of the long-standing conflict and led to civilian casualties. The parties made several attempts to conclude a truce, but the trilateral agreement reached on the night of November 10 proved successful. With the mediation of Moscow, Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed to completely cease fire and exchange prisoners and bodies of the dead. Yerevan also handed over to Baku the Kelbajar and Lachin districts, as well as part of the Aghdam district, which had been under the control of the unrecognized NKR since 1994. In addition, Russian peacekeepers are stationed in the region.
