According to experts, Russian troops have found ways to combat the tactics of mobile detachments of Ukrainian forces. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the defeat by aviation and artillery of clusters of VFU in the area of Kupyansk and Izyum in the Kharkiv region, as well as the destruction of a large enemy artillery depot in the Mykolaiv region.

Ukrainian troops are not abandoning attempts to launch counter-offensive actions in the direction of the Red Estuary, but the situation is under control, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said on September 12. According to him, the activation of the VFU is also noticeable in the Ugledar direction, but the situation there is also under control. The Allied forces are advancing in a number of areas, and they have some success in the Artemovsky direction.
According to military expert Vladislav Shurygin, in these offensives, the Ukrainian military actively uses the tactics of mobile groups. Small detachments on all-terrain jeeps and light armored cars bypass the positions of the defenders and strike sudden blows, disorganizing the defense.

— At the first stage, such tactics proved to be good. But now the effectiveness of such groups has already fallen," the expert explained. — When mobile groups encounter equipped positions, they immediately incur losses, and since they do not have heavy weapons, they cannot cope on their own. Also, Russian combat helicopters pose a great danger to such detachments. Therefore, in order to successfully advance, the VFU must introduce heavy equipment into battle — tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, etc. But it is not possible to deploy armored vehicles — Russian aviation and artillery immediately begin to work in the places of its accumulation.

— In the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk and Izyum in the Kharkiv region, the manpower and military equipment of the nationalist formation "Kraken", the 113th Territorial Defense Brigade and the 93rd mechanized brigade were hit. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 250 soldiers and more than 20 pieces of military equipment, — said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
In the Mykolaiv-Krivoy Rog direction, units of the 63rd mechanized and 46th airmobile brigades were hit by high-precision missile strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces. A warehouse with 45 thousand tons of ammunition was destroyed in the Voznesensk area of the Mykolaiv region. In total, over the past day in this direction, the enemy has lost more than 300 killed and up to 1,000 wounded Ukrainian servicemen, the Defense Ministry reported.
Defeat of reserves
More than 30 nationalists and more than 10 units of special military equipment and vehicles were destroyed by a high-precision strike of the Russian Aerospace Forces at the temporary deployment point of the motorized infantry brigade of the operational reserve of the VFU near the settlement of Rogi, Cherkasy region, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.
Operational-tactical, army aviation, rocket troops and artillery hit four control points, 36 artillery units, three warehouses of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition, an electronic warfare station, workshops for the repair and restoration of multiple rocket launchers and 125 areas of concentration of troops.

Russian air defense units shot down five unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as eight HIMARS and Alder multiple rocket launchers in the areas of the Kakhovskaya HPP, the settlements of Lyubimovka, Berislav and Tavriyskoye in the Kherson region.
— In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 293 aircraft, 153 helicopters, 1,938 unmanned aerial vehicles, 374 anti—aircraft missile systems, 4,891 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 831 multiple rocket launchers, 3,379 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 5,499 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed, - he listed Igor Konashenkov.
Withdrawal from under fire
The Russian Defense Ministry told about the soldiers and officers who showed courage and dedication during the special operation.
The squad of Corporal Andrei Savrasov was defending positions when the stronghold was shelled by Ukrainian nationalists. The servicemen, being cut off from the motorized rifle platoon, engaged in an unequal battle with the enemy. Corporal Savrasov was wounded, but continued to manage his unit. As a result, the saboteurs managed to contain the attack. At the same time, the enemy suffered serious losses.

The motorized rifle battalion of Major Vladislav Nikiforov performed the task of maintaining altitude. Ukrainian militants tried to break through the defense, but thanks to decisive actions and competent management, all attacks were repulsed. As a result, the forces of the unit destroyed more than 10 pieces of weapons and military equipment and up to 20 nationalists.
— After the clash, Major Vladislav Nikiforov decided to regroup and brought the unit to a safe area, preventing losses among subordinates, — the military department said.
Advancing to the area of the task, the group of Ensign Jan Birchenko encountered Ukrainian nationalists. A battle ensued, during which Yang skillfully led his subordinates, as a result of which it was possible to stop the enemy's advance. When the fire stopped, Birchenko led the unit to a safe area and transmitted the coordinates of the nationalists' positions to the command post.

— Thanks to the skillful actions of Ensign Birchenko, it was possible to stop the advance of Ukrainian nationalists, inflict fire damage to the enemy's weapons, military equipment and manpower, as well as save the life and health of subordinate personnel, — the Defense Ministry said.
The motorized rifle company of Senior Lieutenant Ivan Gavro was carrying out the task of holding the line of defense of Russian units when komroty was wounded during the shelling. Ivan gave him first aid and assumed command.
In this battle, the nationalists lost several pieces of military equipment, up to 20 people wounded and killed, and lost the opportunity to continue the offensive. Taking advantage of the temporary ceasefire, Ivan changed positions and took personnel and military equipment to a safe area. At the same time, there were no losses among the servicemen.
