Russian President Vladimir Putin receives reports on everything that happens during Russia's special military operation to protect Donbass, including the regrouping of Russian troops in the Kharkiv region. This was stated on September 12 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Of course, everything that happens, any actions that the military does during a special military operation, are reported to the Supreme Commander—in-Chief," the press secretary of the head of state said at a briefing.
The President is in constant, round-the-clock communication with the Minister of Defense, with all commanders, Peskov noted.
"Naturally, there can be no other way during the execution of a special military operation. The special military operation continues and will continue until all the goals that were originally set are achieved," he added.
Earlier on Monday, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that the regrouping of troops in the Kharkiv region is a forced measure, which is explained by a military strategy and the goal of saving human lives. According to him, Russia will regain control over the settlements.
On September 10, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov said that in order to achieve the goals of the special operation of the Russian Federation to protect Donbass, it was decided to regroup troops in the areas of Balakleya and Izyum. He explained that this would increase efforts in the Donetsk direction.
On September 11, the Defense Ministry said that the losses of the Kiev regime over the past four days in the Mykolaiv-Krivoy Rog and Kharkiv directions amounted to more than 4 thousand killed and more than 8 thousand wounded.
On September 8, the administration of the Kharkiv region announced that the reserve forces were entering the region. It was clarified that fighting continues along the entire contact line. The Ministry of Defense has published footage of the transfer of the military.
Russia continues the special operation to protect Donbass, which President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. The decision to hold it was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military, in connection with which the authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics turned to Moscow for help.
