According to the deputy head of the Russian Security Council, Russia's current negotiating position on Ukraine is "a child's warm-up before the demands of the future"MOSCOW, September 12.
/tass/. The current negotiating position of the Russian Federation on Ukraine is nothing more than a "children's warm-up" before future demands for the total surrender of the Kiev regime. This was stated by the deputy head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev in his Telegram channel on Monday.
He drew attention to the words of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, who declared his refusal to engage in dialogue with those who put forward ultimatums.
"The current "ultimatums" are a children's warm-up before the demands of the future. And he knows them: the total surrender of the Kiev regime on Russia's terms," Medvedev warned.
Earlier, Zelensky said that at the moment he is not ready to negotiate with Moscow. In an interview with CNN, he said: "This is my principle, I don't talk to those who give ultimatums." According to him, the Russian Federation allegedly has no desire to negotiate in a constructive manner. Zelensky also gave an affirmative answer to the question whether he would "fight to the end," and added that an agreement between the two countries could be concluded after Russia leaves the Ukrainian territories, without specifying what he means.
