The head of Energodar reported on the failure of the attempt to land Ukrainian troops On the night of Friday, September 9, the AFU tried to land troops, but they failed.
This was reported by the authorities of the Zaporozhye region and the head of Energodar Alexander Volga. This was the third landing attempt since the beginning of September. The administration of the region suggested that there are several reasons for the actions of the Ukrainian military. One of them is anchoring on the bank of the Dnieper. Details are in the material of "Gazeta.Ru".
The Ukrainian military once again attempted to land troops near Energodar - across the Dnieper in the direction of Kamenka-Dneprovskaya, said Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Main Council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region. According to him, the attack was repelled.
"Last night, a new attempt by Zelensky's militants to force the Dnieper and land in the Kamenka-Dneprovskaya area was stopped," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Rogov believes that the APU is trying to identify weaknesses in the defense of the Russian army. He recalled that before that, the Ukrainian troops had tried to land in the direction of Energodar, Dneprorudny and Vasilyevka.
In his Telegram channel, a member of the main council of the regional administration gave details of the incident: "They used 15 speedboats to cross the Dnieper. The enemy landing force was detected in a timely manner, allowed to the shore and covered with artillery in the area of the landing site."
The head of the Energodar administration, Alexander Volga, confirmed in a comment to Interfax that the attempt to land troops near Energodar, where the Zaporozhye NPP is located, was a failure.
"There was another attempt to break through the landing from Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk region) in the direction of Kamenka-Dneprovskaya (about 10 km from Energodar). The blow was successfully repelled," Volga said.
According to him, before the landing of the APU, an artillery strike was inflicted on the power grids. "In the evening, they struck at the Luch substation, which feeds our power grids... We are repairing the networks," Volga added, specifying that there is still no electricity in the city.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that during the day the Ukrainian army fired at Energodar six times, firing 27 shells from the opposite bank of the Kakhovsky reservoir. "As a result of the shelling of power lines, the city was left without electricity. The enemy's firepower was suppressed by the return fire of the Russian artillery. The staff provides control of the technical condition of the nuclear power plant," the ministry stressed.
Previous failures of the APU
According to Moscow's calculations, the Ukrainian landing is trying to land for the third time. For the first time, the commanders of the Ukrainian army made such a decision on September 1 - on the day of the visit of the inspection of the international Agency of the IAEA to the Zaporozhye NPP. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that on that day two sabotage groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine numbering up to 60 people on seven boats landed on the coast of the Kakhovsky reservoir. This facility is located 3 km northeast of the Zaporizhia NPP. The Ukrainian military, according to the Russian defense ministry, "attempted to seize the power plant."
The next day, the Ukrainian military again arrived at the nuclear power plant. A Russian fighter with the call sign Skif, who took part in repelling the attack, told RIA Novosti that the landing party arrived on about 20 foreign boats. Each of these boats, according to him, can carry up to 15 people. The skif noted that the boats were going without lights and at high speeds.
"We wanted a quick assault, a quick overcoming of the water surface. Previously, all actions were directed directly at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in order to capture it. Artillery was working along the shore," he said.
Russian intelligence found the landing and transmitted the data to the headquarters. Then the aircraft managed to destroy the enemy's vanguard, RIA Novosti writes. The operation involved multi-purpose Su-30 fighters and Ka-52 attack helicopters.
Such a decision, according to Skif, was made due to the fact that the range of small arms, machine guns, grenade launchers did not reach the landing.
The interlocutor of the agency is sure that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation provided "tremendous resistance", and the Ukrainian military will remember this "most powerful blow" for a long time.
