Over 170 representatives from 35 foreign countries observed the actions of the units of the coalition group of troops during the main stage of the strategic exercises "Vostok-2022" at the Sergeyevsky training ground in Primorsky Krai. This was reported to journalists on Tuesday in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"More than 170 foreign representatives from 35 countries of the world, including from the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, watched the drawing of joint practical actions of the Vostok-2022 exercises at the Sergeyevsky training ground," the military department said.
The military of Russia, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, India, Kyrgyzstan, China, Mongolia, Tajikistan are involved in the exercises. As part of the coalition group of troops (forces), more than 2,000 servicemen of military contingents of foreign countries are involved in the Vostok-2022 exercises.
Strategic command and staff exercises "Vostok-2022" are held from September 1 to September 7 to practice defensive and offensive actions at nine ranges (Burduny, Goryachye Klyuchi, Knyaz-Volkonsky, Lagunnoye, Sergeyevsky, Telemba, Uspenovsky and others), as well as in the waters and coastal zones of the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan.
In total, more than 50 thousand military personnel, more than 5 thousand units of weapons and military equipment, including 140 aircraft, 60 warships, boats and support vessels, are involved in the Vostok-2022 exercises.
