Calculations of self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and cannon complexes (ZRPC) "Pantsir-S" of the Central Military District (CVO) successfully perform the tasks of a special operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass. The personnel of the gunners' combat work was presented by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
ZRPC are used by military personnel to cover ground equipment, protect strategic facilities and ensure the safe operation of aviation. Combat work goes on continuously in a variety of conditions. The calculations of the installations have to constantly change the location in order not to fall under enemy fire. Nevertheless, the "Shells" are active even during movements, if necessary, you can conduct targeted shooting right on the move.
Even the formidable "Alligators" (Ka-52 attack and reconnaissance helicopters) need support from the ground. In tandem with the ZRPC, combat aviation shows impressive results.
The detection systems of modern anti-aircraft complexes "Pantsir-S" allow the operator to calculate both large, moving objects in the sky, such as cruise and ballistic missiles, helicopters, airplanes or MLRS shells, including Western-style, and very small ones.
"This complex perfectly copes with the tasks that the leadership sets for us," said the commander of the crew of the ZRPC with the call sign Jazz.
Earlier, on September 1, the Defense Ministry showed a video of the combat work of the ZRPC "Pantsir-S1" calculations of the Western Military District (ZVO), which protect the units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation from air attack.
It is noted that the servicemen continue to destroy Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as Tochka-U missiles, which Ukrainian militants regularly release on liberated settlements.
Before that, on August 17, the Russian Defense Ministry at the Army-2022 forum for the first time demonstrated the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle, shot down during a special operation. The object was liquidated by Russian air defense means in the area of the settlement of Svatovo of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR).
Russia continues the special operation to protect Donbass, which President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. A few days earlier, the situation in the region had significantly worsened due to shelling by Ukrainian militants. The authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) announced the evacuation of residents to the Russian Federation, and also appealed to Moscow for help. On February 21, the President of the Russian Federation signed a decree recognizing the independence of the DPR and LPR.
