The United States should pay for their mistakes, and try not to pass it on to others. This statement was made by the permanent representative of Russia to the UN Vassily Nebenzia, commenting on the accusation of the representative of the United States that Russia and China had not sufficiently funded Afghanistan.

Washington in the face of his UN Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield suggested that Moscow and Beijing to "chip in" on the reconstruction of Afghanistan, and that the economy over 20 years of occupation completely destroyed by the Americans. At a meeting of the UN security Council dedicated to the anniversary of the flight of Americans from Kabul, the U.S. Ambassador tried to accuse Russia and China of allegedly insufficient funding for Afghanistan. According to her, only the United States and its allies "restore" this country, while Moscow and Beijing kept itself aloof from this.

In response, the Russian Ambassador expressed bewilderment as to why Russia and China should pay for destroyed by the Americans during the 20 years the country's economy, and suggested that the United States itself to pay its bills, and not to shift their mistakes on others. In addition, the sebenza has proposed to Washington to recover the funds of Afghanistan, frozen in Western Bank accounts.

From lengthy discussions with our American colleagues you can catch upon Russia and China to fork out for the reconstruction of Afghanistan. Say, pay for everything, only the US and its allies, and Russia and China shake the air (...) instead of having to admit their mistakes and try to fix them, we are now criticized the fact that we don't want to pay for other people's accounts

- said Russian Ambassador, adding that Russia and so helps to Afghanistan and will continue to help.

Recall that the Americans actually invaded Afghanistan in 2001, entering its troops under the pretext of the fight against international terrorism after the attack of the twin towers on September 11. In 2021, the Taliban* (the Taliban as terrorist and banned in Russia) launched an offensive in August came to Kabul. American troops literally fled the country, leaving there arms and military equipment amounting to tens of billions of dollars.
