Anti-tank and artillery units of the Airborne Troops of the Russian Federation destroy the positions of Ukrainian nationalists. On August 30, the Ministry of Defense published footage of the combat work of airborne units during a special operation to protect Donbass.
It is noted that the calculations of anti-tank missile systems (ATGM) "Kornet" destroyed armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The militants were preparing for an offensive in a forest landing.
In addition, artillery calculations of howitzers "Hyacinth-B" at a distance of up to 28 km destroyed the positions of the AFU artillery and enemy infantry in the shelter.
As the commander of the gun specified, the tasks arrive every 10-20 minutes. The military works both day and night. When there is fire on Russian positions, everyone goes into hiding. When the shelling stops, the servicemen accept targets and installations, open fire in response.
"We are coping with all the tasks, victory will be ours," he said.
The day before it was reported that the airborne assault detachments liberated the village of Blagodatnoye from nationalist units in the Mykolaiv region, which until 2017 was called Komsomolskoye.
Earlier, on August 27, military expert Konstantin Sivkov commented to Izvestia on the successful prevention by the military of the Airborne Forces of the breakthrough of the AFU in the Mykolaiv-Krivoy Rog direction during a special operation. According to him, on the part of the Ukrainian militants, it was either a reconnaissance by combat, or an attempt to improve the tactical situation and give an attempt for a special victory of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which the West asks them to do.
The breakthrough of the AFU motorized infantry was stopped earlier in the day by artillery strikes, regular weapons of amphibious assault vehicles, heavy machine guns, anti-tank missile systems, small arms and grenade launchers.
The day before, it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces had destroyed more than 50 Ukrainian militants during the day with strikes on the 25th Airborne Brigade near Seversk and the 101st Air Defense Brigade near Yakovlevka.
Russia continues the special operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. A few days earlier, the situation in the region had significantly worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military. The authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics announced the evacuation of residents to the Russian Federation, and also appealed to Moscow for help. On February 21, the President of the Russian Federation signed a decree recognizing the independence of the DPR and LPR.
