According to Alexander Gusarov, Ukraine is being turned into a testing ground for Western weapons MOSCOW, August 26.
/tass/. The visit of outgoing British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to Kiev signals that Ukraine should follow a military path in relations with Russia. This was stated on Friday by the temporary charge d'affaires of the Russian Federation in London, Alexander Gusarov, on the air of the Rossiya-24 TV channel.
"I would like to say one more thing: about the political signals that Boris Johnson brought with him to Kiev. These signals are obviously intended for the Kiev leadership, for Britain's Western allies, and for his own fellow citizens, Boris Johnson. And this signal is extremely simple - no normalization [of relations] with Russia, no negotiations, not a step back, only a military path along which Ukrainians continue to be pushed, providing them with large-scale financial and military support," he said.
Gusarov added that such supplies turn Ukraine into a testing ground for Western weapons. "The fact that this process leads to disastrous consequences for the civilian population, for the economy and for the statehood of Ukraine, <...> all this already remains outside the brackets of official British rhetoric," he said.
