Medvedev: only Russia could provide security guarantees to Ukraine, MOSCOW, August 23/ Sputnik Radio.
Only an agreement with Russia could provide Ukraine with security guarantees, but Kiev refused it, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
"It is clear to everyone that no neighbors can give them any guarantees, even if they fiercely hate Russia. And now no one will accept Ukraine into NATO. In the Alliance, though Russophobes, but not suicides. And this is a direct result of a special military operation. Only an agreement with Russia could provide security guarantees. But the Ukrainian government, stimulated by Western money and missiles, refused it. So it's very sour with guarantees," he wrote on Telegram.
Medvedev also said that the Kiev regime understands that there are "no guarantees of security at all for them, and there can be no guarantees at all," and even the United States will not offer guarantees of a "bright future for Zelensky."
"Now the firm Joseph Robinette Biden & Sons (Joe Biden and Sons, – ed.) earns in Ukraine. It's going to end soon. Americans are inveterate egoists and work only for themselves. Therefore, the new team will not hesitate to merge the corrupt Ukrainian topic into the toilet of history together with its defendants," Medvedev concluded.
Earlier, Sputnik radio reported when Vladimir Zelensky's office promised to submit a document on Ukraine's security guarantees.
