The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation claims that Kiev used a toxic substance against the Russian military. Russian servicemen who performed tasks in the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine near Vasilyevka were taken to the hospital on July 31 with signs of severe poisoning.
A toxic substance, botulinum toxin type "B", was found in their bodies, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported. Taking into account the evidence obtained, the use of chemical warfare agents against the head of the administration of the Kherson region of Ukraine, Volodymyr Saldo, is being further investigated. The Ukrainian authorities have sanctioned the use of toxic substances against Russian servicemen, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. According to the ministry, a number of Russian military personnel who performed tasks in the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine were taken to the hospital with signs of poisoning.
"Against the background of military defeats in the Donbass and in other regions, the Zelensky regime has sanctioned terrorist acts with the use of chemical toxic substances against Russian servicemen and civilians," the Defense Ministry said on Saturday, August 20.
They explained that we are talking about an incident that took place almost three weeks ago, on July 31. Then the servicemen who were performing tasks in the Zaporozhye region near Vasilevka were taken to the hospital with signs of severe poisoning.
It is noted that specialists of the Main Scientific Research Testing Institute of Military Medicine of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (St. Petersburg) conducted an additional analysis, which "unequivocally confirmed the presence of an organic poison of artificial origin - botulinum toxin type "B".
The Russian Federation is preparing supporting documents with the results of all analyses of these servicemen for referral to the OPCW (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons). "Evidence of chemical terrorism of the Kiev regime will soon be officially sent to the OPCW through the permanent mission of Russia," the ministry said.
Taking into account the evidence obtained, the use of chemical warfare agents against the head of the administration of the Kherson region of Ukraine, Volodymyr Saldo, is being further investigated.

Baza claims that the Balance was poisoned by Ukrainian saboteurs, official representatives of the Kherson administration refute this.
