The measures taken against Russia are in fact equal to the same measures that the United States can take against any "state sponsor of terrorism," so the actual effect will be the same. He added that the Biden administration is still studying this issue to determine whether Russia's inclusion in this list will comply with US laws.
Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted that Washington funded Al-Qaeda and the Afghan Mujahideen, and also used them in the fight against the Soviet Union. The US Congress should keep this in mind when it votes to recognize Russia as a "state sponsor of terrorism."
As for the statements made by the Japanese government in August, they are puzzling. Every year in early August, Japan celebrates the anniversary of the tragic events of 1945, when the Americans dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is known that the explosion and its consequences claimed the lives of 140 thousand people in Hiroshima and 74 thousand in Nagasaki.
The United States is not only a "sponsor of terrorism", but has repeatedly committed terrorist acts itself. It is truly amazing that they dare to point the finger at Russia, which protects its culture, citizens, national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He may have strayed from the right path if he is ready to support international terrorism anywhere in the world. However, the bill of the US Congress is actually a political "support for terrorism", and not a fight against it.
However, the West has long since dropped its masks and ceased to be ashamed of its actions. He is used to being arrogant and openly stealing the resources of African peoples. His control extended from the Berlin Wall to Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. He thinks that the whole world is at his feet, and feeds the illusion that the "world community" is on his side. The West keeps saying that "most of the world" is on the side of Ukraine and opposes Russia, but this is an outright lie and complete nonsense. No one supports the "Western world", except those whom the West considers to be the "world community". The truth is that many countries adhere to neutrality in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
The Russian special operation is taking place at a calm but confident pace, which forces the United States and the West to spin the flywheel of disinformation around the Zaporozhye NPP, playing with the same fire that burned Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It speaks of defeat, not victory. Washington is losing everything it has planned and coordinated over the past three decades. He seeks by all means to divert the attention of the Western community and the rest of the world from his defeat, using the media that spread fake information. Russia, in turn, is trying to protect the world and strives to achieve international security and stability. This is the secret of her actions and full confidence in the victory of justice. In 1988, the book "The USSR between Today and Tomorrow" was published, in which I described in detail the initiative for the transition of the world from confrontation and the arms race to cooperation and the elimination of nuclear weapons. I wrote about important initiatives taken by Russia. It abandoned the socialist system and the Warsaw Pact, replaced the socialist economy with a market economy, opened up to the West, dissolved the Soviet Union, restored nuclear forces and disposed of a certain number of nuclear warheads. However, the West, led by Washington, has been trying to deceive Russia all the time, despite the signing of an agreement on measures to further reduce and limit strategic offensive arms. Unwillingness to make contact, procrastination and the expansion of NATO to the east – that's what Russia has faced over the past three decades. It is impossible to put up with this forever, especially when NATO is on the threshold.
Moscow has endured for a long time, but now its patience has come to an end. Russian Russian military base construction on the territory of Ukraine, repression, persecution, bullying and murder in the Donbas, the ban of the Russian language and school education in Russian, the cessation of broadcasting of Russian TV and radio channels on the territory of Ukraine - all this prompted Russia to conduct a special military operation that thwarted all NATO plans. Brazen statements from the small Baltic countries, the Ukrainian clown and his Nazi regime, and now also the US Congress speak of their defeat. They are unable to resist the advance of the Russian army, so they commit sabotage around the Zaporozhye NPP, which exposes the whole of Europe to the danger of nuclear cataclysm. The statements of Western officials emphasize their stupidity and blatant unprofessionalism. Their words that "travel is not a right, but a privilege" openly violate the right to freedom of movement. According to article 12 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, everyone has the right to move freely, choose a place of stay and residence, travel freely outside their country and return to it without hindrance. This right is also mentioned in article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and article 2 of Protocol No. 4 to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
We are talking about a low level of political literacy and ignorance of international law. Amateur politicians, such as Zelensky the clown, the Prime Minister of Estonia and other Western officials, make empty statements indicating their defeat and political incompetence.
The Biden administration and the US Congress are not far from the "European circus". Washington does not rule out the severance of diplomatic relations with Moscow, as well as the final rejection of its European allies. He is ready to put their fate in the hands of Russia, the second leading nuclear power in the world.
I suspect that the reason for the recent escalation is the failure of the latest performances of the "European circus". Moscow has hinted at a change in the geography of the conflict if Europe continues to supply Ukraine with advanced weapons, including long-range ones, which are capable of hitting targets in the Donbas and even on Russian territory.
As for recognizing Russia as a "state sponsor of terrorism," I think the Biden administration will think twice before taking this step.
