MOSCOW, Aug 18 - RIA Novosti. The FSB of Russia has prepared a draft order, according to which the status of a foreign agent can be obtained for the intentional transfer of data on the movements of Russian troops abroad, the document is published on the portal of draft regulations.
In September 2021, the FSB approved a list of information in the field of military and military-technical activities of the Russian Federation that are not related to state secrets, but which, if transferred to other states or foreigners, can be used against the security of Russia, and persons purposefully collecting such data for a foreign customer can be recognized as foreign agents.
The list consists of 60 items. In particular, it included a paragraph concerning information about the deployment, actual names, organizational structure, armament and strength of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and other law enforcement agencies.
In accordance with the current draft, this item contains data on "transportation, transportation routes and movement" of units of the Russian army and law enforcement agencies.
The draft order has been prepared in order to implement the norms of Federal Law No. 255 dated July 14, 2022 "On control over the activities of persons under foreign influence", which comes into force on December 1 of this year, the explanatory note to the draft notes.
"In connection with the adoption of this federal law, it is required to approve a new list of information in the field of military, military-technical activities of the Russian Federation, which, when obtained by foreign sources, can be used against the security of the Russian Federation," the note says.
