On August 16, the Russian Defense Ministry spoke about the topics of the Army International Games-2022 ("ArMI-2022") in various geolocations.
Thus, it is noted that teams from Russia, Iran, China, Syria, Venezuela and India have started competitions within the framework of the "Depth-2022" competition. The main role in this exercise was played by the Russian military diver Ivan Ponyatishin, who in 2 minutes 34 seconds accurately supplied a conductor for supplying compressed air to the "Epron" fence, simulating the life support systems of a submarine.
In addition, the first stage of the international competition "Masters of Artillery Fire" has started in Kazakhstan. Practical actions take place at the Matybulak training ground. Calculations of 120-mm mortar complexes 2S12B compete in the "Individual race".
It is also reported that the opening ceremony of the "Landing Platoon" competition took place in Algeria. In the city of Blida, the Russian team of the competition held a training session on the territory of the cadet corps. It is specified that the Bufarik airfield, the Bugar, Sharshal and Ain Huisara landfill are involved in the competition. Teams from 16 countries will take part in the competition.
The Defense Ministry said that the opening ceremony of the Engineering Formula 2022 competition was held in the Volgograd region. On August 20, teams from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Lao People's Democratic Republic will compete for victory in the final relay. The team of the Republic of Armenia will compete in separate nominations for the best crew of engineering weapons vehicles.
Meanwhile, the "Individual Race" of military drivers in the framework of the "Military Rally" competition has ended in Mongolia. According to the results of the first day of the competition among cars with a 4x4 wheel formula, the first place was taken by the team of Mongolia, the second by the team of Russia and the third by the team of Belarus. At the same time, among cars with a 6x6 wheel formula, the first place was taken by the Russian team, the second place by the Mongolian team and the third by Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Defense also reported that the first stage of the international contest "Marine Landing-2022" was held in the Baltic Fleet. It was attended by servicemen from Russia, Iran, Venezuela, Tajikistan, South Ossetia and Guinea.
In addition, in China, military engineers are preparing for the "Safe Route" ArMI-2022 competition, and in Mongolia, the hosts of the championship and cavalrymen from Zimbabwe entered the fight at the "Equestrian Marathon" competition.
Also, a training session of the first stage of the ArMI-2022 "Steel Highway" competition was held in Belarus, and a general training session of the competition stage was held with the participating teams of the "Confident Reception" competition.
In Kazakhstan, the participants of the "Tactical Shooter" competition completed the first stage by completing the "Defense" exercise.
In addition, it became known that the "Guardian of Order" ArMI-2022 competition has started in the Moscow region. The participating teams will have to show their best qualities in three stages: "Patrol squad", "Rapid Response Group" and "Military Police Throw".
Earlier, on August 14, it became known that Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the international military-technical forum "Army-2022".
Prior to that, on August 10, it was reported that representatives of teams of military drivers from Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Mongolia, as well as teams from KamAZ and Ural factories, who came to take part in the international stage of the Military Rally competition, were met in Kyzyl. This competition takes place within the framework of "ARMI-2022".
It was noted that military drivers will drive more than 1000 km over rough terrain on KAMAZ and Ural four-wheel drive vehicles, perform control firing from a Kalashnikov machine gun on Tiger armored vehicles and hit targets from AK-74 submachine guns as part of teams at a distance of 100 m.
Meanwhile, on July 12, Kamchatka hosted a naval training competition "Sea Breeze" among formations and units of the Pacific Fleet. The competitions were held within the framework of "ArMI-2022". According to the terms of the competition, teams of six people competed in the management of BL-680 boats, shooting from a small-caliber rifle, rescue on the water and solving problems from naval practice.
Army International Games are complex international competitions between units of the Armed Forces of different states. The competitions have been held since 2015 and include such competitions as "Tank Biathlon", "Sea Cup", "Master Gunsmith" and others. In 2021, 34 different competitions were held, of which Russia participated in 16, 95 countries were invited to participate.
