It is capable of hitting surface, underwater and coastal targets at a distance of up to 18 km

MOSCOW, August 11. /tass/. The new ET-1E electric torpedo, capable of hitting any surface, underwater and coastal targets at a distance of up to 18 km, will be presented at the exposition of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV) at the Army-2022 forum. This was reported to TASS by the press service of KTRV.

"A new ET-1E electric torpedo will be presented at our exposition at Army-2022. It can hit any surface and underwater targets, stationary marine and coastal objects at a maximum distance of up to 18 km in all waters of the World Ocean in a complex interference situation, including in shallow water and under ice. It has a speed of 30 to 50 knots," the corporation said, noting that its main advantage is "noiselessness and stealth, it is almost impossible to detect it at distant borders."

As told in KTRV, ET-1E can be used from submarines with torpedo tubes of 534 mm caliber equipped with electric data entry units.

ET-1E was developed at the State Research and Production Enterprise "Region" (as part of KTRV), which is the largest Russian developer of naval torpedo and aviation bomb weapons.

Also, according to KTRV, other developments of the "Region" will be presented at the exposition - a corrected aerial bomb with a TV-correlation homing head KAB-500Kr, an aerial bomb with satellite guidance equipment and a high-explosive warhead KAB-500S-E, an anti-submarine corrected aerial bomb "Zagon-1" aviation anti-submarine missile APR-3ME, a small-sized anti-submarine the Package-E/NK complex with an anti-torpedo and an armament complex with a high-speed Shkval-E submarine missile.

KTRV is one of the largest participants of the forum. The Corporation has been participating in it since its first holding in 2015. The corporation's demonstration center always presents the latest samples of high-precision aviation and naval weapons, as well as a wide range of high-tech civilian and dual-use products.

The International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2022" will be held from August 15 to 21 at the Patriot exhibition center near Moscow. The event is organized by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
