The Russian army, during a special military operation in Ukraine, uses not only equipment and weapons already in service, but also promising or recently received samples. In addition, various automatic systems are very actively used in combat operations, allowing to link various complexes and strike in real time.

In yesterday's summary of the Ministry of Defense, the military reported two attacks by Russian aircraft carried out near Kharkov and in the area of Konstantinovka. The VKS strikes led to heavy losses of the AFU, it was reported that up to 130 Ukrainian soldiers from the 92nd OMBR and up to 400 paratroopers from the 95th ODSHBR were destroyed. Losses for the AFU are very large, in addition to personnel, a lot of armored vehicles were destroyed, with which the Ukrainian army has problems.

The Ministry of Defense traditionally did not provide details, but according to available information, an Automated Tactical Control System (ACS TK), also known as Constellation-2015, was used during the strikes. It is reported that in both cases, data on the accumulation of AFU servicemen were promptly transmitted to the headquarters, the aircraft received target designation and immediately struck with precision missiles.

Near Kharkov and Konstantinovka, data on the Ukrainian military got into the Constellation, the coordinates were sent further along the chain to the command post, and from there to the planes that were in the right area

- informed sources reported.

The technical control system is a multicomponent battlefield management complex with a number of different functions. The system simultaneously includes 11 subsystems for various purposes, responsible for the exchange of data on the tactical situation, the transmission of orders, interaction with other troops, etc. It includes portable radio stations, software and hardware complexes, navigation aids, command and staff vehicles, satellite and unmanned surveillance equipment.

For the first time, the complex was tested at the Caucasus-2016 exercises, and in 2018 it began to be mass-supplied to the troops. Last year, it was reported about the complete re-equipment of four divisions, as well as ongoing deliveries.
